Dissemination of the guidelines
Aim:
To disseminate the new clinical practice guidelines for the management of melanoma in Australia and New Zealand to relevant individuals and groups throughout NSW and the ACT.
Methods:
- Full hard copy of the guidelines and directions to the electronic version of the guidelines to:
- Dermatologists, surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, medical imaging physicians, oncology /general nursing staff, medical /nursing / fellowship educational institutes, health /medical libraries, NSW & ACT Cancer Council, Cancer Institute NSW, NSW Area Health Services, satellite cancer care centres, and patient organisations.
- Summary hard copy of the guidelines to skin cancer clinics.
- E-bulletins about the guidelines for posting by a selection of organizations and groups (e.g. medical colleges)
- Articles in medical journals.
- Aid memoire to general practitioners.
Status:
Dissemination of full hard copies and directions to an electronic version of the guidelines is complete. Aid memoire disseminated by the Australian Cancer Network to all GPs in Australia through insertion of hard copy in a GP journal. Development of e-bulletins and journal articles is underway.
